Embroidered Yellow Pouch or Purse by 'Small World Dreams'

This is gorgeous! I love the detail of the embroidery and the crochet edging on the front of the purse. It compliments the bright, retro yellow fabric of the body of the purse. This item would brighten a cute white and yellow dress.

Monday in the Making

This weekend was quite full with sorting assessment items for work, however, I did manage to peck at my latest project during the week and a little over the weekend...

I thought that I would create another card set, this time using yellow as a springboard. I am loving this colour combination and hope to soon add the fabric and words, to complete them. The end is in sight for these little art works...

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday in the Making

I had an urge to make something in 'green'. I ended up making another monogram canvas. Here is the result:

I loved using different hues of green, but it also has a tiny bit of orange and grey added to the mix. Once again, this canvas uses decoupage, paint, drawing, fabric and textural techniques in its creation.

It would look lovely on a bedroom door or wall of a 'superhero'. Currently available in store - to check out the details, click here.

Pink floral porcelain dish by 'Springwood Porcelain'

This is such a beautifully crafted dish. I love the heart shape and I love the detailed floral design that embellishes it. I can see this dish being used for numerous purposes - as a jewellery holder or it could be used as a ring dish in a wedding. I admire crafters of porcelain - such a delicate craft. Monday in the Making

After a few sessions of making cards, I thought that I would concentrate on making another canvas...

I wanted this canvas to have a pink base, however, I didn't want it to be solely pink. I decided to add some light blue, a touch of orange, grey and a touch of pastel yellow to the palette.

At first, I thought that the pink background was a bit too harsh, however, once all the other colours and layers were added, the colours all worked well together.

I decided to make this canvas with the monogram 'A' and used layering techniques that include paint, paper and textural materials. Despite using the same techniques and colours, each canvas is unique due to the process it undergoes. Currently available at my madeit.com.au store..

Did you spot the owl? Canvases can be made with or without the owl...

Monday in the making

I have been enjoying making greeting cards using collector cards that have been transformed into mini works of Art. Earlier, I made a batch of cards with a sunset theme, using yellow, orange and red. I enjoyed creating them so much, that I made another batch, this time using a different colour scheme. Here is the result...

These are a couple of examples to show you. I wanted to use purple, so I used hues of this colour, teamed with pastel green and apricot. I love the result and I love their uniqueness. They are currently available in store.

I have also begun a new project. This one is going to be a mini canvas that will display a monogram...

I wanted to use pink and I wanted it to have a feminine feel, without it being to overwhelmingly pink. This photo shows the beginning of the background.
